The Siriu Dam is part of the essence of the town Siriu and is well worth visiting if you are interested in such tourist attractions.

It is an artificial dam which caused transformations in the DN 10 route, which took the shape of the Siriu Lake, from which several viaducts emerge.

Siriu is an artificial reservoir, placed on the upper curse of Buzau River. Its construction ended in 1985 and spread over a surface of 10 km. The purpose of the dam is to produce electric energy in the hydropower plant that covers a surface of 500 m and stands as a land dam, being constructed with a clay, rock and sterile core, positioned between the Podul Calului and Siriu Massif.
