In what concerns religious architecture, it is represented by the Romanian Orthodox Episcopal Cathedral in town, dedicated to St. Parascheva. The church dates back to the rule of Petru Rares (1542-1550), while the ensemble also includes cells, annexed buildings, a bell tower and the Episcopal Palace (built in 1870).

5 km out of town, you can visit the beautiful New Citadel of Roman in Gradinti, Neamt. Built by Stefan the Great in the year 1466, the citadel is hard to reach, having a defense strategic importance. 7 towers, moats and the waters of Siret river defended the fortress.
