Dacia sales have increased by 19% in 2013 to 429.540 auto vehicles, the main target market remaining the French one, where 94.000 units were sent. In Romania, deliveries have increased by 12,4% to 24.890 units and have reached a market share of 31,6%.
They say the number 13 is unlucky, but apparently it has brought its share of fortune for Dacia, who had an outstanding commercial performance in the ominous 2013. On the international level, Dacia has sold 429.540 units, a rising number by 19.3% compared to 2012, and this on a market that is currently decreasing, as we have observed in the past.
A simple calculation shows that Dacia sales outside Romania have reached 404.000 and deliveries inside the European market have increased by 25,9% – though overall, the general market has decreased by 1.7%.
This means that over 290.000 Dacia cars have been registered last year on European markets, reaching a market share of 2.1%.
Ever since the summer of 2005 – when the brand was launched on the European market – almost 1.5 million clients have chosen Dacia.
As we mentioned already, France has topped this list – with almost 94.000 units delivered and a market share of 4.3%, with Dacia occupying the 5th place, the Sandero model being on the 3rd position in the top of sales to individuals.
Germania finds itself on the second position, with almost 47.000 units and a market share of 1.5%.
Dacia also mentioned that in Algeria, Turkey, Spain and Morocco, there have been sales of over 30.000 units, and in Spain, deliveries have increased by 80%.
Dacia models entered the British market as well last year – indeed, with a limited range: only Duster and Sandero – but it has managed to commercialize over 13.000 vehicles so far.
