The most beautiful roads in Romania – Part 2

The most beautiful roads in Romania - Part 2

Because our discussion last time, about the most beautiful roads in Romania, only numbered a few of the routes a driver can opt for if they wish to drive someplace great, we have decided to write Part 2 as well.

So here we are, ready to talk about more spectacular roads and highways in our country.

The Jiu Narrow Path (or, by its official name, DN 66), has borrowed its name from the River Jiu, on whose course it has been built. An exciting route, high in difficulty, carved between steep cliffs and deep precipices, the Jiu Narrow Path crosses two counties, Gorj and Hunedoara. Here, you can visit the National Park Jiu, an outstandingly beautiful region.

On DN 7, you have the opportunity to pass through Turnu Rosu, the pathway that links Sibiu to Valcea. The pathway is located at a low altitude – maximum 354 meters – and follows the valley of the Olt River. The Cozia pathway is also nearby and it is equally beautiful to see.

If you have ever been to Vatra Dornei through Bistrita, you most probably passed through Tihutei pathway in Mount Bargau. Winding along the European road 58 you will encounter the famous Dracula Complex and the Piatra Fantanele resort.

Gura Humorului is a path that seems to lead to heaven. Crossing the Bucovina heights, the road from Gura Humorului to Sucevita and Sadova bisects the most picturesque Romanian villages. On the way, you can alight at Voronet Monastery (to admire its blue), in Sucevita and Moldovita.

Buzau is famous for the wonderful landscape and for the particular magnetism. DN 10 crosses Buzau through Nehoiu all the way to the Turn of Buzau. Siriu is the main attraction, a scene dominated by the lake and the luxuriant vegetation on the slopes.

All these paths and many others can be crossed behind the wheel if you decide to rent with Car Rental Romania.
