The notion of “adventure park” reached our shores not so long ago, from over the Ocean – they are very popular in America, but Europeans are also making great headway in that direction. If most people dream of visiting Disney World, a park that takes us back to the world of childhood dreams, the more… “tough” or should we say, adventurous among us will be happy to enjoy an adventure park that is… military!
Arsenal Park was born in Orastie in 2009, when this adventure park was built on the site of an old secret base and ammunition factory. Arsenal Park is in fact the only military theme park in the entire Europe. The tourist complex boasts with 3 stars and offers a (quasi)military experience to all those interested in ammunition, circuits and… well, the taste of the army. On the 88 hectares, you can find 200 lodging spots (in different types of rooms, from the simple Officer rooms to the luxurious Colonel quarters), TAB’s, cannons (70 in all), machine guns, tracked conveyors, rocket launchers, military trucks, locomotives and even an airplane and a helicopter. They make up the biggest military museum in the country and it is open to the public.
Arsenal Park is ideal for team building activities, but it is also fit for the more adventurous families and groups of friends. Among the favorite activities, you may opt for military instructions, shooting firearms or bow and arrows, paintball and airsoft fights, segway or renting a bicycle.
