Today we turn to what is happening from the point of view of autos / economy in our country. The end of October also mark the end of the Rabla 2014 program, reporting a total of 20.641 new cars sold and a success rate of 100%. You’ve guessed it, today we talk about Rabla: A successful odysee.
The national program “Rabla” was launched in 2015. Its purpose was to encourage people to let go of their old jalopys and replace them with new cars bought at affordable prices. In total, between 2005 and 2014, an impressive number of half a million old cars were erased. The earnings of Rabla 2014 were also impressive, totaling almost 250.000 EUR, and sales to companies increased by almost 20% compared to last year. Through the state’s program, over 3600 cars were purchased by institutions and companies.
To be eligible, you have to apply for approbation. The official rabla.ro site explains the way to participate in the program: first, contact the local Radacini dealer, then destroy the old car, a visit to REMAT; afterwards, you will receive a voucher. A short visit to the registrar will make it all official (both the destruction of the old car and the acquisition of the new one). Only afterwards is the car finally erased by the local official bureau (Serviciul Public Comunitar, Regim Permise de Conducere si Inmatriculare a Vehiculelor). To close the circuit, you will return to the dealer and be welcome to enter the program!
According to Mr. Attila Korodi, Minister of the Environment, Rabla will also develop in 2015, with minor modifications.
Also, starting on November 1st 2014, the new program “Prima masina”(“The First Car”) will be inaugurated. The aim is to encourage the purchase of new cars under 50.000 lei, with the state guaranteeing half of the value of the credit.
