Trees in bloom, luxuriant vegetation and bright sun outside: these are all here to show that summer is on its way, the perfect time to think of the most anticipated events and concerts in Romania in the coming months.
A visit to Bucharest for a concert or maybe a wonderful vacation in the mountains, a few bohemian days at the Medieval Festival in Sighisoara, these are all options worth considering.
Therefore, here are the most interesting concerts and events to look forward to during the remaining part of May:
Do you remember the naive and somewhat illogical, though utterly catchy lyrics of the song “She’s got the looks”? Roxette have delighted the international public for decades. On May 17th, the band will be present in Bucharest, at the Roman Arena, for an unforgettable concert.
If romantic latin music inspires you, on May 20th at Sala Palatului you can reunite with the artist Julio Iglesias, whose links to Romania are quite deep, ever since he attended the Golden Stag Festival in 1969. The young singer didn’t win any prize back then. Nevertheless, the Spaniard always talks most affectionately of his memories from Brasov.
In Bucuresti, a “visit” to Club Control on May 21st will bring you close to the music of Francesca Belmonte. Pablo Alboran will also be present on May 27th at the Roman Arena for a long-awaited concert.
And to welcome the first day of summer with joy, on June 1st, the International Children’s Day, we invite you to join Smiley and friends in a concert full of energy and enthusiasm.
And another tip: for those who don’t know, 16th of May is the Museum Night, so you have free access to multiple cultural venues in the Capital city and in the largest towns. If you want, you can rent a car in Bucharest!
